BJB as the key members of the design consortium with Wilmott Dixon Construction, BJB’s team were invited to attend the Digital Construction Day which had been arranged to help identify and understand the impact of Digital Construction and how it will infuence the roles and responsabilities involved.
Our team who attended enjoyed a packed days agenda which included exhibitors showcasing their latest technology, live demonstrations, expert advice from all, guest speakers who took the attendees through their approach to digital construction and question and answer sessions.
The Digital Construction Day had been held to help set up and drive the adoption of Digital Construction and see value moving forward together.
Digital Construction is an incredibly broad subject that is becoming intrinsically linked to everything we do within the Construction Industry. The day consisted of Wilmott Dixon using their Menai project as a case study to look at lessons learnt and the benefits realized from the consultants and integration into the supply chain. It further led to live demonstrations of delivering customer requirements, validating these requirements and how the data is used for CAFM, closing with Willmott Dixon’s expectations for digital projects.
